The mac and cheese brings a ton of potential.
Rich, appealing, and full of promise the moment you see it. Adam Fantilli hasn't quite blossomed into the elite first line center that he will hopefully become, but we're still very glad he's here. This is one side dish that only gets better as you improve upon your recipe.
So far, he's probably guilty of trying to do too much. But as he learns the professional game more and more, he'll understand how to use his teammates better. Give the puck away to get it back, sort of thing. He'll dial in his shot, and with his skating, well, the first word that comes to mind is smooth. Creamy? No, smooth. This mac and cheese may need a little more time in the oven, but it's going to be so, so good.
Green bean casserole. Why is this even here?
Your aunt always insists on bringing green bean casserole, and you're never quite sure why. Your mom always makes you take a serving of it, but you never want to eat it. Still, you appease everyone by eating it, and because Thanksgiving is about giving thanks, you do it. Deep down though, you wish someone would show that dish the door.
Damon Severson. Nuff said here, really. On his good nights, he looks like the guy we thought we were getting when our old aunt (uncle) Jarmo signed him to an 8-year contract last summer. On his bad nights? Fire him out of the cannon. What was that Tortorella phrase about going up and down, again?
Gotta have veggies on your plate to get big and strong (win).
Peas and carrots are always a strong, winning combination for Thanksgiving. You can mix them together in the same pan and serve them up. Sean Kuraly and Justin Danforth compliment each other accordingly. They bring a lot of necessary ingredients to a successful meal on turkey day, and you probably aren't winning many games without them.
Whether it's winning key faceoffs, playing in the defensive zone, killing penalties, having a shift at the other end of the ice, or even chipping in some offense; the Blue Jackets can always fall back on their old reliable fourth line. These two are definitely the peas and carrots of our meal. Bonus: Dmitri Voronkov could be the, uh, butter here.
Bread is a must. And, the most important part of the meal (dessert) is on the final page.
