I certainly don’t want to jinx it and say that scoring should no longer be an issue for the Blue Jackets, but I certainly think there will be more of it come this season. Both Marian Gaborik and Nathan Horton have been added to the team, and both bring a knack for the net. Of course I am hoping that we can also rely on the leading scorer from last season, Mark Letestu, as well.

Not to mention that we know the true ability for some of the members of the team that may or may not have performed well during the shortened season last year. Nick Foligno, Artem Anisimov, Brandon Dubinsky and R.J. Umberger can all expect some added pressure to put the puck into the back of the net during this upcoming season. They are just a few of the guys that will be called upon for secondary scoring.

Lets also not forget the added talent of the young players who are continuing to develop into solid players. They include the likes of Ryan Johansen, Cam Atkinson, and we could possibly even add Boone Jenner to this list.

The Blue Jackets will have an extra boost in the goal scoring department this season, which is just another one of the reasons why they will make the playoffs.
