The Columbus Blue Jackets start out their west coast roadtrip with a victory against the defensively tough San Jose Sharks 4-1.

Sergei Bobrovsky bounces back strong for the Columbus Blue Jackets with a gritty performance against the stealthy Sharks, only giving up one goal early on and shutting the door from there. This will hopefully give Bobrovsky confidence going forward the rest of the roadtrip in the greater Los Angeles region.

Anthony Duclair continues his hot start to the season by adding onto his already impressive stats. Duclair has been one of the more important free-agent signings to this young Jackets squad. Josh Anderson took the team lead in goals tonight with his seventh of the season.

Stats:

Jackets Goals: Anthony Duclair, Seth Jones, Nick Foligno, Josh Anderson

Jackets Assists: Alexander Wennberg, Ryan Murray, Anthony Duclair, Lukas Sedlak, Markus Nutivaara

Sharks Goals: Kevin Labanc

Sharks Assists: Logan Couture, Marc-Edouard Vlasic

What to Look for Moving On:

The Jackets continue their West Coast Road Trip. Los Angeles on Saturday, Anaheim on Sunday. Bobrovsky needs to continue playing solid after having his best game of the season tonight. We could possibly see Brandon Dubinsky return at some point.

With the Columbus Blue Jackets season now in full force, it’s time for the team to show that they can win against top teams, which is exactly what they did on Thursday night.
