Blue Jackets fans should venture up North to Detriot to catch the November 11th match up with the Red Wings.

The Red Wings and Blue Jackets rivalry seemed to start off the bat when Columbus was awarded an NHL franchise. A rivalry between teams in Ohio and Michigan does not take much, but the rivalry has cooled down since Columbus and Detriot have been placed in different decisions.

The Columbus Blue Jackets visit Detriot Saturday, November 11th. This Saturday match up will give Jackets fans time to make the 3.5-hour trip and time to spend in Hockeytown.

Detriot will be playing their first season in Little Caesars Arena. Blue Jackets fans will get a chance to get a look at the newest venue in the NHL. Detroit isn’t a long haul for Jackets fans and Detriot has a ton of hockey history even though they are no longer playing in the Joe.
