As the Blue Jackets make a strong push for the playoffs, every single point in the standings is absolutely huge for this team. It also highlights that even the slightest signs of weakness that could be a cause for concern by the time the postseason rolls around.

Although the play between the pipes in Columbus has definitely seen an upgrade with the full-time addition of Jet Greaves, there are still some question marks between his lack of NHL experience and the inconsistencies of Elvis Merzlikins' play the past few seasons.

And while I think most Jackets fans (myself included) are willing to bet on Jet going forward, it definitely wouldn't hurt to take a look at a few options that Columbus might explore over the next few years.

Especially with the rather poor play of goalies in Cleveland so far this season, there are a handful of prospects that could see development time in the AHL next year, with a couple more potentially eyeing the backup job behind Greaves, if not more.

Let's begin by looking at the three guys that could (and likely will) spend some time in Cleveland during the 2026-27 season.
