Bryan Rust or Rickard Rakell
These two players are on the same team, on similar contracts, are around the same age, and have similar scoring totals, so I felt I'd lump them both in to wrap this up. Rust and Rakell have come up in trade discussions ever since last summer due to their relatively discounted contracts, uncertainty surrounding the Penguins and their ability to keep up the long run of success they've been on, and both wingers being well over "the wrong side of 30".
Both Rust and Rakell have similar scoring profiles across their long NHL careers, with Rust averaging 0.70 PPG and Rakell averaging 0.66 PPG. Both men have very high offensive profiles in both their shot and playmaking ability, with both ranking in the 89th percentile, or above, in Net Offensive value per HockeyStatCards.
Rust is signed for another two seasons at $5.125m AAV and carries a 8-team no-trade clause, while Rakell is signed for also two more seasons at $5.0m AAV, and also carries an 8-team no-trade clause. (Remember when I said their profiles are remarkably similar?)
Either forward would immediately slot into the CBJ's top six, and their experience would be a welcome addition (along with Rust's two Stanley Cup wins, should he be the target).
Regardless, while the news cycle has slowed to a crawl for now, there remains a possibility that more trades could occur, or during, the NHL season should the Jackets begin to trip up. All we can do is wait.
