Kent Johnson
A player who hasn't been without his fair share of criticisms over the past year, Kent Johnson has tons of offensive creativity and playmaking skill just waiting to explode.
He had an undeniably disappointing 2025-26 season, but I still think he has what it takes to be the top-line winger alongside Fantilli and Marchenko that we have been waiting for.
Despite his offensive numbers seeing a huge drop last season from the year before, his metrics and underlying numbers were extremely good. At the end of the day, he needs to be able to create goals, but everything's there for him to do just that.
He's looked noticeably good in camp, and is seemingly stronger than he ever has been before. He added some muscle this past offseason, and while he's still on the lighter size, it's definitely positive growth and can be a difference-maker.
Especially if he does get the spot on that top line on opening night, his confidence should be much improved and I think there's a solid chance that this year we finally get to see Kent Johnson's creativity and skill on full display.
