The Columbus Blue Jackets head to Dallas on a four game point streak.

The Columbus Blue Jackets and Dallas Stars will play their second game in six days as their annual series closes tonight in Texas. The Jackets are riding a four game point streak that includes a fantastic 4-1 win over these same Stars at Nationwide Arena last Tuesday.

That 4-1 win was the best game of the Jackets season to that point and arguably is the best game the team has played. The 2-1 road win three nights later against the Washington Capitals was the only game that might match the performance the CBJ put up agains the Stars.

A result against the Stars would mean that the Jackets earned at least a point in their last five games. Since the putrid loss at Los Angeles, the Jackets are 2-0-2 including the two great wins. The run has put the Jackets on top of the Metropolitan Division. It’s tight in the Metro though, with the top seven teams separated by only three points.

Dallas will not only have revenge on their mind tonight but their own tough divisional race in mind. The Stars are fourth in the Central and currently occupy a wild card spot in the West.

Oliver Bjorkstrand will be in the lineup again after being scratched against these Stars last Tuesday. Since then Bjork has scored a big goal against the Capitals and looks to be on the right path. He will play alongside Alexander Wennberg and Brandon Dubinsky.

Sergei Bobrovsky will get the start in net tonight. He is coming off of two fantastic performances against the Caps and Stars where he hasn’t allowed a goal at even strength and has a save percentage of .968. If the Jackets extend their point streak to five then Bob needs to show up yet again.

The puck drops in Dallas at 8:30 eastern tonight between the Stars and Jackets.
