The Columbus Blue Jackets take down the Dallas Stars for the second time this week 2-1 in Dallas.

Josh Anderson and the Columbus Blue Jackets started this game on edge where Anderson quickly scrapped with Star’s captain Jamie Benn. After landing more punches on Benn the first period ended with no goals put into the back of the net.

Cam Atkinson continued the Blue Jackets powerplay goal scoring streak with another goal on the man advantage to take a 1-0 lead in the second period. Blake Comeau angered many of his former teams’ fans by attacking Seth Jones after a clean open ice hit.

This makes 4 straight games with the Jackets scoring on the powerplay. Alexander Radulov knotted things at one before the end of the period. The Jackets scored late in the third with Pierre-Luc Dubois scoring a Cam Atkinson feed to take a lead the Jackets would not give up.

Stats:

Jackets Goals: Cam Atkinson, Pierre-Luc Dubois

Jackets Assist: Seth Jones, Cam Atkinson, Ryan Murray

Dallas Goals: Alexander Radulov

Dallas Assists: Miro Heiskanen, Jamie Benn

Impressive Players:

Cam Atkinson: Point scoring machine, points on both goals.

Pierre-Luc Dubois: Gritty goal, including a high stick to the face from the goalie.

Josh Anderson: Scrappy game, fight with Jamie Benn

Sergei Bobrovsky: Great game, only one goal against and an abundance of solid saves.

Disappointing Players:

Nobody

What to Look for Moving On:

The Jackets get Florida at home on Thursday night, before traveling to Carolina this weekend. Bobrovsky looked solid tonight, and looks to continue playing back to his former Vezina winning self. The powerplay is continuing to roll and looks to be fixed based on the horrible powerplay percentage that was achieved early in the season.
