Game two of the Columbus Blue Jackets preseason sees the team put out a whole new roster of 21 different players.
The Chicago Blackhawks will visit Nationwide Arena tonight for the second game in as many nights in the Arena District. The Columbus Blue Jackets will roster a whole new team of skaters though tonight as they rotate through players invited to preseason camp.
Last night, in a 4-1 loss, the CBJ looked sluggish. The team had just completed a day of intensive physical assessment, including the infamous two mile run in 12 minutes, as well as three days of heavy skating. Tonight’s legs wont be “fresh” by any stretch but they should look a bit better for the Jackets.
Exact lines are still being worked out but the roster is set. According to Aaron Portzline of The Athletic, the Jackets will start the following players.

Forwards: Nick Foligno, Alexander Wennberg, Cam Atkinson, Liam Foudy, Riley Nash, Zac Dalpe, Boone Jenner, Kevin Stenlund, Eric Robinson, Kole Sherwood, Josh Anderson and Lukas Sedlak.
Defenseman: Ryan Murray, Seth Jones, Ryan Collins, Gabriel Carlsson, Dillon Simpson, and Michael Prapavessis.
Goalies: Jean-Francois Berube and Joseph Raaymakers
Tonight’s roster has a bit more NHL talent on it than the one put together for the Buffalo Sabres game but not by much. There are nine players suiting up tonight who played significant time in the NHL last year. Once again there is a good composition of NHL talent and players looking to crack the squad.
This will be the second game in a row where the Jackets don’t play an NHL goalie in net. Look for JFB to play the first two periods tonight with Raaymakers coming in for the final period.
There are several interesting players on Chicago to keep your eye on. First round pick Adam Boqvist and high end prospect Dylan Sikura both are exciting offensive talents that are on the verge or playing in the NHL this year.
The game will once again be streamed on the Fox Sports Go app as well as broadcast on AM 1460 in the Columbus area. Game two of the Jackets preseason schedule starts tonight at 7pm.
