The Columbus Blue Jackets are represented in the top 50 players of NHL 19 by two players

The much awaited release of NHL 19 is just around the corner. On September 14th the game will be released worldwide and we will know what EA Sports thinks of every Columbus Blue Jackets player.

Before that release date though we have been able to find out the rankings of some CBJ players. The game has teased several player rankings through social media.

Now the game has released a list of it’s top 50 players in the game the Columbus Blue Jackets are represented by only two players. Artemi Panarin and Sergei Bobrovsky both made the top 50 list while Seth Jones just barely missed.

Jones was one of several players whose ranking was teased on social media. Clocking in at 87 overall, Seth just barely missed the list that starts with Jonathan Toews at 87 overall as well.

Artemi Panarin was rated an 88 overall and was ranked as the 36th best player in the game. He was wedged between Arizona Coyotes defenseman Oliver Ekman-Larsson and Brad Marchand of the Boston Bruins.

Sergei Bobrovksy was the Columbus Blue Jackets highest ranked player at 91 overall, good for the 11th best player in the game. He just beat out fellow Metro division goalie Braden Holtby for the 2nd best goalie ranking.

Bob was ranked lower than only one goalie and that was Carey Price. EA Sports must have based their rankings on annual salary and not skill level because there is no way Price is a better goalie than Bob or Holtby. Maybe in the past he was, but for the last two years Bob has been noticeably better than the Habs net-minder. Price was ranked as the games 5th best player with an overall ranking of 92.

Topping the list was Connor McDavid with a 94 and Sidney Crosby at 93.

What do you think of the rankings? Let us know if you think Bob, Panarin, and Jones were ranked too high or too low in the comments.
