The game three crowd in Nationwide Arena was the largest in Columbus Blue Jackets history.
It’s been a heck of a season for the Columbus Blue Jackets so far. Records have been broken and another one just fell last night.
Standing room only in Nationwide Arena, and there was barely any of that. The Jackets last night set an attendance record with 19,337 fans packed into NWA.
With a capacity of 18,000, the extra 1,337 folks packed into Nationwide to create quite the atmosphere. The crowd was raucous last night and the CBJ should expect another crowd that size on Thursday.
The overtime thriller was not only a franchise record in attendance but also an NBCSN ratings record. The game set a round one, game three overnight rating at .72. That is up 71% on the previous NBCSN record.

Game Five Time Set
The NHL had to unfortunately set a time for game five now that this series has been extended. Game five will be on Saturday April 21st at 3pm. NBC will be covering the game. It will be the Jackets first time playing on NBC since last year’s playoffs.
The game will be on NBC locally and in some out of markets nationally on NBC. The rest of the country will be able to watch game five on NBCSN.
Let’s hope the networks don’t need to worry about scheduling a time and place for game six. The Jackets can close this series out with a win at home on Thursday and another road win on Saturday.
Game four is inside 24 hours away and will be on USA nationally. The Jackets look to extend their series lead to 3-1 over the Washington Capitals.
