Columbus Blue Jackets Seth Jones named 2018 All-Star
Columbus Blue Jackets defensive star Seth Jones is heading to Tampa.
The roster for the 2018 NHL All-Star team has been announced and the Columbus Blue Jackets will be represented by Seth Jones. Jones was the obvious pick from the CBJ. He should be in the Norris conversation behind Victor Hedman and Drew Doughty. He has been that good.
The 23-year-old is heading to his second straight All-Star game. He was one of three Columbus Blue Jackets to go in 2017.
Saying that Seth Jones is dominating possession is an understatement. He is sixth in the league in corsi and second in fenwik. Jones is also leading the team in time on ice with an average of 24:39 a game.

He has been producing offensively as well, adding 28 points (7-21) through 44 games. Jones move likes a forward and has a dirty shot.
Jones is an absolute stud and is making Jarmo look like a genius since he traded a top center for him. He has absolutely been worth the price and will be for years to come. Jones is locked up until 2022 at what will look more and more like a bargain at $5.4 million as time goes on.
But Jones will be the only Jacket in Tampa for the festivities. A clear snub was goalie Sergei Bobrovsky. Henrik Lundqvist was an obvious choice as every team must have one representative and there were no other options for the New York Rangers. But Braden Holtby over Bobrovsky is a joke.
