The Columbus Blue Jackets are back in action Monday to take on the Buffalo Sabres in New York. This will be the second time of three that these two teams play. Their first meeting was 5-1 rout by the CBJ in October.
Tonight’s game has the chance to be the Columbus Blue Jackets’ fourth consecutive win. The CBJ, tied atop the Metro Division, has won their last three games behind superb play from goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky. In those three starts, Bob only allowed two total goals while stopping 96 shots.
The Sabres are not a good team. They’re the worst Eastern Conference team and the second-worst club in the NHL. Despite their talented players, the team has just failed to do anything of note so far this season.
If the game was played on paper, this would be a CBJ slaughter. But the game is played on ice, and that is always less predictable.
