The Columbus Blue Jackets are in Detroit tonight to take on the Red Wings in a very important game for the away squad.

Coming into tonight’s game with a four-game losing streak, the Columbus Blue Jackets need to get back into the win column.

The team has gone the last three games without earning a single point. That has caused them to go from top of the Metro Division to fourth. Luckily, no one outside of the New York Rangers have kept it together recently in the Metro.

Last night’s 3-1 loss to the Carolina Hurricanes was the second straight game where the team failed to score more than one goal. That will have to change tonight.

Injury Report

Columbus Blue Jackets

Calvert and Sedlak’s injuries will probably keep them both out for the rest of the month, but Dalpe is probably able to play anytime. Although Steve Gorten of the Columbus Dispatch reported that Dalpe is dealing with an upper-body injury a couple of days ago, he was listed as a healthy scratch for last night’s loss against Carolina.

Detroit Red Wings

Abdelkader went down with a fractured cheekbone during a fight with Calgary’s Troy Brouwer in Thursday’s game. The injury, although it sounds bad, is expected to be more short-term. DeKeyser was expected to be back soon, but he had a setback two weeks ago that pushed back his return date.
