Columbus Blue Jackets Activate Boone Jenner
The Columbus Blue Jackets have activated Boone Jenner off of IR. How will his return affect the team?
The Columbus Blue Jackets finally have Boone Jenner back on the roster. After missing all of the preseason and the first seven games of the season it appears the Jackets will have Boone back in the lineup.
As reported by Brian Hedger, Boone was skating with the second line in practice today. Jenner will play along side Oliver Bjorkstrand and Nick Foligno.
No doubt the Jackets missed Boone. He is a 30 goal scorer that can hopefully bring some pop to the second line and help Bjork get rolling offensively. His physical play should open up more space and opportunity for Oliver to start snipping corners.

It appears as though Zach Dalpe may be the odd man out with the return of Boone Jenner. Someone was always going to get bumped off for Jenner and Zach Dalpe was always at the top of that list.
The shake up with Jenner back in the lineup has Pierre-Luc Dubois bumping up to the third line to create the Duby line with Brandon Dubinsky.
Return Date for Jenner
Boone skated with the team when they traveled to Minnesota and Winnipeg. He clearly has been getting better and now the question is does he start against the Kings on Saturday or Sabres on Wednesday.
Torts of course is letting nothing out about when he thinks Jenner will play. I’m betting that Jenner makes his return this Saturday against the Kings. The Jackets will have improved second, third and fourth lines from the shake ups Torts will implement.
The rest of the league should take note. One of the best teams in the league just got that much better.
