The Columbus Blue Jackets start their three game week in Manitoba to face the Winnipeg Jets on Tuesday night.

The Columbus Blue Jackets are finishing up their annual trip to the northern great plains as they face the Winnipeg Jets tonight. The Jackets are coming off an off day Sunday and practice on Monday following an exciting 5-4 overtime win in Minnesota.

Winnipeg has won its previous three games after a slow start under Steve Mason. After losing the first two games of the season by a combined score of 13-5, the Jets turned to net-minder Connor Hellebuyck. That move has certainly paid off as the Jets have allowed only five goals in three games, well below the league average thus far this season.

That is nice for the Jets in all, but they are returning to Mason tonight. The Columbus Blue Jackets have to be salivating at the notion of shooting pucks on Mason.

    Injury Report

    WINNIPEG JETS

Although not as banged up as the Minnesota, the Jets are facing some serious injuries. Perreault’s injury allows rookie Kyle Connors to be called up to the NHL from Manitoba Moose. Connors will skate on the Little and Laine line.

Carlsson will miss at least five days with an upper body injury, leaving opportunity for both Scott Harrington and Markus Nutivaara in his wake. Boone Jenner is still out and will be for some time with the most frustrating and mysterious injury of the NHL season thus far.
