Handshakes. Handshakes for our beloved Columbus Blue Jackets and the Pittsburgh Penguins. The traditional mark of the end of one team’s season. In this case, it was the Blue Jackets.

The Columbus Blue Jackets fell short again on the road last night, ending their season with a 4-1 series loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins.

It’s a tough way to end a historic season. I hate moral victories, but it’s hard to ignore them with this team. Most points, most wins, most players with ten or more goals, longest winning streak, and most hugs. This was a year of small franchise victories and this is a team that will be competing for years to come.

A tip of the cap to our Columbus Blue Jackets and their 2016-2017 campaign. This season will surely be etched in the memories of all 5th liners for years to come. Although it may seem dark now, remember that the sun will rise again Jackets fans.
