So far this offseason, the Blue Jackets have made all the right moves. The acquisition of Brandon Saad from the Chicago Blackhawks have made Columbus true contenders in the eastern conference. Although things are looking quite promising for the young franchise, there is still some work that needs to be done.

The Blue Jackets could still benefit from some improvements to its personnel on the blue-line. Jack Johnson, Fedor Tyutin, David Savard, and Ryan Murray are all valuable defensemen.
