Cannon Balls: All Star Rosters Announced

Good Monday to you all, Blue Jackets fans! Hope your weekend was better than the performances the Jackets gave were, and with the start of a new week means new games to look forward to. But, before Columbus takes the ice again on Wednesday (which, lets be serious, we’ll enjoy and take every moment of non-game time we can get), and before the work week begins, lets take a look at some stories you may have missed from the weekend.

  • Not quite sure how you could miss this bit of news, but the NHL All Star Game rosters were announced!
  • Also, another piece of news I’m sure you didn’t miss, three Blue Jackets will be defending their home ice during the All Star Game! (No, we do not know which team they will represent, and we wont know until the “fantasy,” draft the Friday before the game.)
  • While Blue Jackets fans are happy with their selections to the game, there are undoubtedly snubs. Too Many Men On The Site takes a look at the five biggest snubs who wont be playing in Columbus. (Nice featured photo, btw, TMMOTS!)
  • We know at least six of the starters for the NHL All Star Game. But what about the rest of them? Bleacher Report gave us a quick prediction.
  • With the Sergei Bobrovsky extension announced on Saturday, we took a look at who the Blue Jackets should resign next.
  • Last night against his old team, the Anaheim Ducks retired Teemu Selanne’s #8 jersey.
  • Finally, if you (for whatever reason) want to relive the horrors of this past weekend’s games, you can do so here (Toronto) and here (New York).
