Union and Blue’s Three Stars: All Star Game Participants

facebooktwitterreddit

The Columbus Blue Jackets fell to the New York Islanders last night in the first game of 2015 inside Nationwide Arena, but there is good news to be had! Well, not with the game. That wasn’t fun on any level.

However, the good news came about an hour before puck drop, when it was announced three Blue Jackets would be representing their home ice, city and fans in the All Star Game, and to make it even sweeter, it was each Jackets’ first selection to the mid-winter classic. (Is that a thing? I’m going to make that a thing.) So, as opposed to having to scrape the barrel to try and find a scrap of good from last night, let’s focus on the positive things and talk about our All Stars!

RYAN JOHANSEN. 3rd. <a href=. C. Columbus Blue Jackets

NICK FOLIGNO. 2nd. With last night’s third period goal, <strong><a href=. LW. Columbus Blue Jackets

G. Columbus Blue Jackets. SERGEI BOBROVSKY. 1st. Joining Joey and Foligno in the coming years is <a href=

The speculation centered around maybe only two Blue Jackets making their way to the All Star Game, but not only do three going to the game ring the phrase “the more, the merrier,” true, it also would have been a sham had one of the three not been named.

Did you agree with Joey, Foligno and Bob being named to the ASG? Let us know below in a comment or on twitter @UnionandBlue.
