It was a busy day yesterday around the Columbus Blue Jackets. From a big extension of a key Jacket to a pair of news items surrounding the Columbus All-Star game, here’s your round up of everything you need to know from yesterday.
- Of course, last night, the Blue Jackets fell to the Toronto Maple Leafs 5-2, thanks to a four goal first period by the home team. Here’s our recap.
- During the game, one of the referees took a nasty spill and had to leave the game. You can watch the play that took him out, if you’d like.
- Before the Jackets took the ice, big news was had – Sergei Bobrovsky will be a Blue Jacket for the next four years. Four more years! Four more years!
- The NHL released the jerseys that’ll be worn in Columbus on January 25th for the NHL All-Star game and they’re, uhm…well, just look for yourself.
- Also All-Star related, Peter Laviolette and Darryl Sutter were named head coaches of the squads. What do you make of the coaching decisions?

- Springfield won again! They defeated the Providence Bruins 2-1 last night as Anton Forsberg made 29 saves, and the Falcons moved to a 25-10-2 record and 52 total points.
- The Kalamazoo Wings (ECHL affiliate of the Blue Jackets) had their game postponed last night in Toledo. The K-Wings host Cincinnati tonight.
