The Blue Jackets get to come back home and play in front of the Nationwide faithful on October 12th, when they take on the Boston Bruins. This will be the Blue Jackets toughest test of the young season, and should serve as a litmus test to see where the Blue Jackets stack up with the Eastern Conference elite.

The Blue Jackets will more than likely face Tuukka Rask, as well as a suffocating, hard-hitting defense. Now, the Blue Jackets style of play is more suited to play against the Bruins than say the Penguins, but either way it is a rough style to play against. This is the game that I am looking forward to most in the early season, because we will get to see what the Blue Jackets are made of and what kind of heart this team carried over from last season.

I see this game as very low scoring and probably going to overtime and possibly a shootout. In the end the Blue Jackets will pick up their first loss, but still pick up a point in the process.
