Taking the top position in the Blue Jackets Jersey Ranking is the original Third jersey. Debuting in 2003, it marked the first use of the current Blue Jackets logo. It also served as inspiration for the team’s Reebok Edge makeover. The remarkable thing about this jersey is how it successfully uses both black and blue, as there have been many failed attempts in doing this with sports uniforms. Black is introduced for the first and only time to the Blue Jackets color scheme, and it makes for a very interesting jersey. The old third jersey remains popular with fans and you can still see many worn to games at Nationwide Arena. It is a highly sought after item, and even used versions go for close to full price on Ebay. This jersey is also the perfect blend of the new and old, as it has the current logo for the main crest, but the old main crest as a shoulder patch.
