Love is in the air…
It takes a steam-bath to make it official, it seems. I’ve been enjoying wedding festivities since Friday, and several Twitter friends are attending weddings as well. Even my pal and compatriot, Joe Reader is in Istanbul for a good friend’s wedding. Joe had a business trip to Turkey earlier in the summer, and he tells us that next time he travels “it will be someplace cooler…like the center of the sun”. Well, Joe…some of us didn’t leave home for the nuptials, and we felt like we were running the engines on big boat or train.
"Well, while I was enjoying the wedding and all the love, of course that made me think of hockey. If you follow the flow chart, it makes sense. Love, lifetime, good times and bad, richer, poorer and all of that."
The couple who got hitched yesterday? They’re a good match. Friends forever, good match. When I saw them together two years ago, it seemed right even then. Nobody’s worried about these two. It’s nice to see. It made me long for October. Has anyone noticed I got it bad for this sport?
**Do you, Mary take this sport, hockey to be your one and only true sport, to love and cherish…thru injuries and healthy times, rich bankrolls and poor ones where they can only afford mini-mites, making the playoff times and not so much times, regular stuff and scandals….as long as you shall live?
