James Wisniewski Has A Broken Pinkie Toe: For the past three games, James Wisniewski has been listed as a game time decision. Throughout that time many speculated as to what could be ailing the defenseman. Now the cat is out of the bag: Wisniewski suffered a broken right pinkie toe in the February 1st win over the Florida Panthers.
Wisniewski had this to say to the Columbus Dispatch:
It doesn’t sound like something that would hurt that bad — pinkie toe,” Wisniewski said. “But let me tell you, you don’t know how much you use that little guy until it’s broken. It hurts like hell.

Ohio Bobcats Put On Offensive Clinic: With the NHL off at the Sochi games, I thought I’d give some time to a team I have inadvertently neglected in the Ohio Hockey News. The Ohio University Bobcats have been tearing it up in the ACHA this year. I think it is a fitting punishment that I include them here today with the news that the Bobcats destroyed my Alma mater, Kent State 7-0. The win marked the 19th in a row for Ohio U in the series.
