Ducks 0 0 2 2

Monday night, the Jackets showed what they’re capable of–beating the #1 team in the league, in regulation, in their own barn, something only 3 other teams have done. Right from the get-go, the CBJ were out flying and getting the first goal of the game, which is always crucial. From there, they didn’t sit on their lead, they went out and scored again. In the third, the Ducks scored, but the Jackets answered right back with two of their own. And though Anaheim would score another goal late, the Jackets were ready to go for all 60 minutes.

But the effort wouldn’t matter without fantastic goaltending, and vice versa. Luckily, the #1 cop on the force was on his beat last night, stopping 34 of 36, and making it look easy. Sergei Bobrovsky had some absolute highlight-reel saves last night, and is a big reason the win streak continued on.

This game was a huge momentum booster, and I bet that will show as the season goes on from here.

My 3 Stars:

1: Sergei Bobrovsky

2: Nick Foligno

3: Ryan Johansen
