Somehow, I knew in my heart that the Blue Jackets would win their 1000th game and keep the streak alive.  My heart was not wrong.  In the midst of “We want (Steve) Mason” chants and #CBJ1000 festivities, the Jackets found themselves with yet another win.  The winning streak is alive and well, and now I want to see the Jackets continue it.

I’m am pleased with the way the Blue Jackets have been playing lately, and I hope they continue it.  Blake Comeau should be back on the ice after a knee injury soon and Marian Gaborik is skating on his own.  Would this mess up the current chemistry on the ice? Sure.  That doesn’t mean it is going to be a bad thing.

The last game the Sabres and Blue Jackets played ended in a shootout.  Ryan Johansen endlessly deked his way to a victory against Ryan Miller. The Blue Jackets thought they had the game, but with 36 seconds left, David Savard took a penalty and the Sabres scored.  Luckily, Sergei Bobrovsky held his own during the shootout and the Jackets won.

This will be the third and last match up between Columbus and Buffalo. The Blue Jackets won the first meeting back on October 10th, 4-1. They also won the game a week ago in the shootout. This is the last meeting between the two teams for the regular season.
