Columbus Blue Jackets vs Carolina Hurricanes: Three Stars

Yesterday the Columbus Blue Jackets took on the Carolina Hurricanes, and whooped them.  It was great!  It was Nathan Horton‘s home debut, Bobrovsky’s first home game since coming back from energy, and the place was rockin’!

Third Star: Brandon Dubinsky

I wish I had half as much passion while doing my job as Brandon Dubinsky has on the ice.  He didn’t quit once last night.  Even when there were only 9 seconds left in the game, he stood up for the team and fought Nathan Gerbe.  He had one goal on the night and 2 penalty minutes.

Second Star: Boone Jenner

Boone played on a line with Artem Anisimov and Nathan Horton, and it paid off.  He scored the first goal of the game and got the arena excited.  He also set a career high of 6 hits in a game.

First Star: Sergei Bobrovsky

Bob had some superhero-like saves last night.  He kept the team in the game, making 36 saves and earning his second shutout of the season.  Who doesn’t love Sergei Bobrovsky?
