Post Game Reaction Columbus Blue Jackets Vs. Lightning

The game started off quite slowly. There was plenty of back and forth, however not very many chances. The first period ended with Tampa leading shots on goal 10-4. In the 2nd period Nick Foligno scored what would end up being the game winner. Sergei Bobrovsky made quite a few saves before he left half way through the 3rd period after making a great save against a Tampa Bay breakaway chance, with what looked to be a knee injury.  Bobrovsky is scheduled to have an MRI Wednesday to see if there is any damage to his knee. Curtis McElhinney came on in relief of Bob. Together the two goalies stopped 26 shots.

The biggest story coming into the game was the return of Brandon Dubinsky. As always Dubi came out like a mad man, skating all over with the energy the jackets have missed so much with him out. Dubinsky in my opinion is one of the most important players on the team. His energy and leadership is the key to a lot of the jackets success.

Ryan Johansen continued his streak of amazing play with the assist on Nick Foligno’s Game winner. Ryan Johansen was showing his talent tonight had just one shot on goal, however he set up many glorious opportunities. Johansen who has already reached a career high in goals this year with 10, also he has 10 assists for a total of 20 points.

The Blue Jackets look to get another two points Friday. The Jackets play the Minnesota Wild (16-8-5). Game time is 7PM Friday night.
