It is the 25th of November, and the Columbus Blue Jackets have played 23 games so far this season – currently sitting with a record of 8-12-3. This season has had its low points and high points like any other season, unfortunately there were two very recent valleys – losing to the Oilers 7-0, and then losing to the Canucks 6-2.

With one game left in the cross country Canadian road trip, the Blue Jackets could actually come out of the Great North with a winning record – that is if they produce a victory tonight against the Maple Leafs. As mentioned, two out of the four games played involved complete breakdowns and a high scoring affair which CBJ was on the wrong end of. Remember though, this road trip started out with a bang against the Senators – the 4-1 win against Ottawa was one of the best performances of the young season. Which means there is a team willing to play and work hard for W’s, they just need to be that team every night!

This all leads me up to the Topics Of The Week – in this particular segment we will ask specific questions regarding the Blue Jackets and we want you to add your two cents in and lead the discussion. You can comment below in the article, start the discussion on our Facebook page, or even tweet at us [@UnionandBlue].

1) Is Coach Todd Richards on the hot seat in your opinion? If so, who would you want to replace him as the Coach of the Blue Jackets? If you could bring back one former CBJ Coach who would it be?

2) Which one player has had the best road trip so far? Which player (or players) has had the worst road trip?

3) How much of an impact do you think Nathan Horton will have when he joins the Blue Jackets? Who should he line up? How many points do you expect from him?

4) Should the front office be looking to make a change in player personnel? If so, who should be on their way out and who would you like to see the Blue Jackets acquire?

Feel free to answer all of the questions or just one! Ready, Set, Start The Discussion…
