The regular season has begun, and the Columbus Blue Jackets have played two games so far and are currently enjoying a few days off. The Blue Jackets have been practicing in Columbus in preparation for the away match-up against the Buffalo Sabres on Thursday. With a lull in the schedule, it is a perfect time to take a look back at a few fan polls that you may have participated in right before the regular season, and even one about the first two games played.
How Many Goals Will The Trio Of Jenner-Dubinsky-Gaborik Score This Season?
Right before the season got underway I was overly excited about the Jenner-Dubinsky-Gaborik line, and with that came two fan polls. Looking back I wish I never got excited about this line, because so far it hasn’t really existed. Lets take a look at the polls that revolved around the “number one line”.

- 42% of voters are predicting 60-69 goals from the trio this season
- 17% of voters are predicting 80-89 goals from the trio this season
- 17% of voters are predicting 100+ goals from the trio this season

How Many Points Will Boone Jenner Contribute This Season?

The second poll revolved around Boone Jenner, and how many points he will contribute this season. Since he has not been playing on the number one line with Dubinsky and Gaborik, his point tally will most likely suffer this season. He can only hope that his offensive upside begins to show through and he is reinstated on the number one line.

- 45% of the voters are predicting 30-39 points from Jenner this season

Which Columbus Blue Jackets Player Will Score The First Goal Of The Season?

Just before the start of the season, I asked who you thought would score the first goal of the season. I should have added into the poll how it would be scored. Who would have thought it would come on the power play? Having the first goal of the season scored on the power play was just as much of a surprise as the player who scored the goal.

First Impressions Of The Columbus Blue Jackets

On October 6th, a day after the game against the Islanders, I wanted to know what your first impressions of the Blue Jackets were. After opening night I gave the team an overall grade, as well as a grade for each position and special teams.
