About a week ago I posted Six Reasons Why The Columbus Blue Jackets Will Make The Playoffs, and now I think it is time to play devils advocate. Now I will give you the other side of the story, Six Reasons Why The Blue Jackets Will Not Make The Playoffs.

During the offseason I believe I have been pretty optimistic about this upcoming season, but unfortunately today I am going to take the pessimistic side of things.

The Blue Jackets come into this season with a fresh new look and are half a season removed from one of the worst years in franchise history. Can they continue their hot streak from last season and turn the fortunes around? For the sake of this post, I am going to say no. Playoffs will be in sight, but a near miss will crush the hopes and dreams of every CBJ fan and here are the reasons why…
