As we end the offseason and begin the NHL Hockey Season, let’s take a look at the Columbus Blue Jackets Centermen we will be seeing all season.

Artem Anisimov

Artem Alekseevich Anisimov was born in Russia, and is currently a top six forward for the Columbus Blue Jackets.  He was drafted in 2006 by the New York Rangers.

He played in the AHL for the Hartford Wolf Pack for 2 years.  He made his NHL debut in February of 2009 and scored his first NHL goal in October of that year.

“Arty” was a part of the Rick Nash trade along with Brandon Dubinsky, Tim Erixon, and a first round draft pick.  He has signed a 3 year contract with the Columbus Blue Jackets.  He is currently a top six forward, occasionally playing on the top line with Marian Gaborik.
