Jared Boll has only ever fought John Scott one time, and guess what it was in the preseason, September 21st, 2009. As I type this post the Blue Jackets are playing the Buffalo Sabres in the second preseason game of the year. Ironically enough, just a few moments ago it sounded as if Scott was trying to entice Boll into a fight, in the middle of the first period.

John Scott was brought into Buffalo to be intimidating, ever since Ryan Miller got hammered by Milan Lucic, the Sabres haven’t been the same. Scott knows what he is on the team for and he accepts his roll. Jared Boll is in a similar situation in Columbus, even though I feel that Boll brings a little more to the team than Scott does to Buffalo. This game just got me thinking though, who would win a fight tonight if the two were to fight.

John Scott is a mammoth of a man, and that is not even considering him on skates. Scott is 6 feet 8 inches, 270 pounds, Boll is 6 feet 2 inches, 219 pounds. That is quite a difference when talking about a hockey fight, any fight for that matter. Scott has 6 inches on Boll and 50 pounds give or take. On HockeyFights.com, John Scott was the winner of the vote, 93% of voters said that he had won the only fight that he has had against Boll.

Tonight could be a different story though, and for that matter, any given fight can go either way. So now it is your turn to vote…
