#FF! – Great Twitter Follows for NHL and CBJ News!

As we approach the 2013-14 NHL Season, I thought it would be helpful to provide a list of twitter accounts worth following for NHL news and updates, as well as Blue Jackets specific accounts that are worth a follow.

NHL Accounts:

@FansidedNHL – The official twitter account for the Fansided NHL network of blogs, home of Union and Blue!

@TSNBobMcKenzie – If you are an NHL fan and not following Bob McKenzie, then you are living under an NHL News rock. He is pretty much the most trusted name in NHL News.

@wyshynski – Greg Wyshynski is the editor of the Puck Daddy blog on Yahoo and co-host of Marek vs Wyshynski. Great and funny account for hockey news and some pop culture insight as well.

@robpizzo – Rob Pizzo was the former co-host of Puck Daddy Radio and The Backhand Shelf. He is now the current host of Hockey Night in Canada Radio. He is a Wings fan, but isn’t too over the top about it, so still a great follow for any hockey fan.

@JeffMarek – Jeff Marek is co-host of Marek vs Wyshynski and host of Hockey Central on Sportsnet. He is a very entertaining follow and extremely knowledgeable about hockey history.

@jtbourne – Justin Bourne is the current host of The Backhand Shelf Podcast, and also writes for the Backhand Shelf blog. He is a former player (minor league level) and son of Islander Bob Bourne, so he provides some great insight into the locker room and the life of a hockey player. He posts hilarious photos of his cats as well.

@HarrisonMooney – Harrison writes for the Puck Daddy blog and his account supplies an informative but also very humorous view of the sport of hockey.

@icethetics – An account for all the hockey uniform / logo fans. Icethetics has the latest uniform news and rumors for the upcoming season. They also keep readers informed throughout the season about special uniform nights, heritage jerseys, and third jersey schedules.

@UnionandBlue – The official twitter page for this blog! Give us a follow to discuss our articles and to stay informed about the latest posts on the blog.

@BlueJacketsNHL – The official twitter account for the Blue Jackets. Chances are, if you are a Jackets fan you already follow them.

@RobMixer – Rob is the Digital Content and Community Manager for the Blue Jackets. His account is a great follow to keep up with the posts on the Blue Jackets news page, as well as the various CBJ related events that take place off the ice.

@Aportzline – Aaron Portzline is the CBJ beat writer for The Columbus Dispatch. He is a great follow for the latest Blue Jackets news and rumors. Throughout the season he will keep you updated with injury news, player transactions, and lineup changes.

@bzarcher – Matt Wagner writes for SB Nation’s The Cannon blog and is an informative follow on twitter.

@RedditCBJ – Mark is the moderator of reddit’s CBJ section. He is a huge fan of the Blue Jackets and is a very funny follow on twitter.

@DKM_Hockey – The twitter account for the DKM Hockey podcast and blog. DKM is another great Blue Jackets humor account. They interact with fans and put out a great Blue Jackets podcast.

@jkekalainen – GM Jarmo Kekalainen’s twitter account. I am unsure how active he will be on twitter during the season, as building a Stanley Cup contender probably doesn’t leave much time for Twitter, but he is worth a follow for sure!

@ForJacketsFans – A CBJ Fan account for Blue Jackets fans. Humorous and also fun to interact with during the season!

@TempletonJ – Kerby Rychel’s cat…do I need to explain further?

@TheCBJArtillery – A new CBJ fan account. They have been a great follow so far!

That is just a short list of the NHL and CBJ accounts that you can follow on twitter. I left countless numbers of CBJ fan personal accounts off the list, but I am sure you will find them through the above listed accounts. I also left player accounts off the list, as for the most part, they are pretty dormant during the NHL Season.
