In this new series I am going to be taking a look back at some of the poll questions I asked you to vote on in the past. I think it is only right to share some of the results from our more popular polls. For the first time, I welcome you to…The General Consensus Was!

There is no better time to go over some of our best polls from the offseason than now. With the regular season less than a month away, NHL fans from around the world are becoming anxious for the first puck drop. Fortunately for CBJ fans, we get a small taste of hockey for the next couple of days with the Traverse City Tournament. Shortly after the tournament, training camp will begin, and before you know it, there will be pre-season games. Back to the topic at hand though, lets take a look back at some of the best polls of the offseason.

With what I think was one of the best posts of the offseason, Mike Majeski shared with us his rankings of the Blue Jackets jerseys. Mike ended up choosing the third jersey that was used from 2003 through 2007 as his choice for #1. Here is the general consensus from all of you…

Which Jersey Is Your Favorite?

  • (2010-Present) Third Jersey earned top stop with 50% of the vote
  • (2003-2007) Third Jersey was second with 22% of the vote
  • (2007-Present) Home Jersey was third with 17% of the vote

Nathan Horton…What Do You Think CBJ Fans?

With arguably the biggest singing of the day during Free Agent Frenzy, the Columbus Blue Jackets signed forward Nathan Horton to a seven-year contract worth $37.1 million. I wasn’t exactly sure which way this poll was going to go, but now that I look back, it is quite obvious what the general consensus was…

Is Anyone Worthy Of A “C” On Their Sweater?

In this particular post there was a chance to vote on two things, if a captain would be named this offseason, and who it would be. So far during this offseason no captain has been named, and honestly, when talking with other fans there really is no clear cut winner. We still

took it to a vote though, and here is what the general consensus was…

Will The Blue Jackets Name A Captain This Offseason?

  • Yes earned 75% percent of the vote
  • No earned 25% of the vote

In this case, the minority is right…so far

If They Do Name A Captain, Who Do You Think They Should Choose?

  • Jack Johnson earned 66% of the vote
  • Brandon Dubinsky earned 29% of the vote
  • R. J. Umberger earned 6% of the vote
