Hockey Prospectus recently updated their outlook on Columbus Blue Jackets prospects for the 2013 season to include their latest draft class. The Union and Blue will have our own prospect overview and ranking out in the near future, however the Hockey Prospectus article got me thinking about the 2013 draft and how I would rank the players the CBJ selected.

Since most of these players are still early on in their development, it is difficult to project where and when they will fit in with the CBJ lineup, but there is enough scouting information available to gain an idea of how they stack up. Past performance, the potential for growth, as well as the long term and short term needs of the organization were taken into account to formulate this list.
