I, and a lot of the writers here at Union and Blue, have been talking about the new and improved scoring depth of the roster. So it got me thinking this morning, I wonder who is going to lead the team in goals next season.
There are plenty of options on this team now that could potentially lead the team in goals scored, maybe even bring home the scoring title for the league. Marian Gaborik is the player on my mind who could be lighting the lamp like crazy next season for the Blue Jackets. He is getting his fresh start in Columbus, and it could be just what the doctor ordered.
He will certainly have some competition next season though, newly acquired Nathan Horton will be looking to make an immediate impact on the Blue Jackets. He actually would have been tied with Mark Letestu for most goals had he been on Columbus. Players like Artem Anisimov and Nick Foligno also need to define their role on the team and I am sure both will be looking to be that go to player that Columbus needs since Rick Nash was traded.
Enough about my opinion though. I want to know what you think…
