Columbus Blue Jackets Story Lines For The Upcoming Season

It is odd to think that just around this time last year we were waiting to find out if the NHL Collective Bargaining Agreement was going to be figured out quickly and signed right away by each side, or if we were going to wait and wait. Obviously you know the turn out, no need to completely relive the situation. This year though, all we have to wait for is October 4th! Even earlier if you are interested in seeing the Blue Jackets play a few pre-season games.

Speaking of October 4th and the beginning of the season, we will all have the pleasure of seeing the new and improved line-up take to the ice for a full 82 game season. One piece to the puzzle won’t be hitting the ice right away but Horton will join just shortly after. There are bound to be different story lines that will be talked about during the course of the full season, lets just look at the obvious ones…

How will the players acquired by trade pan out during the full season of hockey with the Blue Jackets? Will Nathan Horton be worth every penny? Can Sergei Bobrovsky continue his award winning performance? Can Ryan Murray and or Boone Jenner slip into the line-up and contribute at the NHL level?

I am bursting at the seams thinking about all these questions, thank god we won’t have to wait until mid January. I got a question for you now though…
