I am going to jump right into this and skip an introduction. You all read the title, you know what this is going to be about. Here are the two trades that I wish the Blue Jackets could have been a part of:

Trade #1: Bobby Ryan to the Ottawa Senators

It’s a shame we couldn’t of got in on this deal instead of the Senators, Bobby Ryan is an exceptional talent, I even think that he hasn’t fully bloomed yet (yeah, I said bloomed). In Anaheim there are already several star players that took up the limelight, which took away from Ryan’s full potential.

Do you blame him for wanting to be traded when you are behind guys like Corey Perry, Ryan Getzlaf, Teemu Selanne, and Saku Koivu. I wouldn’t want to be the #5 go to guy either, not with the type of talent Ryan has. I don’t think it is to out there to say that he could easily become a point per game player with the Senators. I also think he will really shine in Ottawa and become a household name.
