Is Anyone Worthy Of A “C” On Their Sweater?

It is no secret, the Blue Jackets have no player with a “C” sewn onto their jersey for next season. As of right now, if you take a look at the roster page on BlueJackets.NHL.com, the Blue Jackets only have two players listed as assistant captains. Currently, Jack Johnson and Brandon Dubinsky have an “A” next to their name. Are either of these two players in line to join an elite group of NHL captains? Both players are quite young and would be a great choice to lead the Blue Jackets as captain.

Your guess is as good as mine as to who or even when the Blue Jackets will name the next captain. Or maybe they will just add another assistant captain and go part or all of next season with no captain? It wouldn’t shock me to see the team wait to see who stands out on this newly formed roster as a leader both on and off the ice.
