It is time to vote! We want to know; who are you more excited to see in a Blue Jackets uniform next season? Ryan Murray or Boone Jenner?
It is no secret that Ryan Murray will be ready to play next season, the question now is…where? With his shoulder surgery now in the past, will Murray be part of the Blue Jackets roster come October? Or does he need some time to get back on his feet and adjust to professional play?
And while Davidson and the Blue Jackets management staff are excited about Murray’s potential and what he could bring to the club this season, they know that he’s still a young and unproven player – albeit a very talented one.
Boone Jenner spent most of last season with the Oshawa Generals, scoring 45 goals, and adding 37 assists, for 82 points. Jenner also made his way into the Springfield Falcons line-up once the Generals were knocked out of the playoffs. He played 8 games for the Falcons in the Calder Cup Playoffs, producing 2 goals, and 3 assists. He also played 5 games with the Falcons in the regular season, almost averaging a point per game, 3 goals, and 1 assist. The same questions could be asked about Jenner, is he ready for the NHL? Does he need more time to develop?
Both players will hopefully become regulars in the Blue Jackets line-up, neither have a guaranteed spot come next season though.
