Even with their Club record fast start, which is 22 points in 14 games, a few things have been quietly happening with the Falcons. This past week last years offensive club leader has been cranking up his game. He now leads the club in SOG and is tied for the club lead with Nick Drazenovic with 6 goals. JAM continues to lead the club in total points with 15 points [5 goals and 10 assists] but is now 2nd in SOG.
The “D” continues to provide “O”, offense, as John Moore is 3rd in SOG with 48. John has 2 goals and 4 assists. But in a very encouraging and exciting trend, Tim Erixon now has 4 goals, which is 1 more than his entire season last year and 7 assists. Combined with his 34 SOG, it is obvious that he is flourishing. Several other “D” men are also finding the back of the net, making the Falcons “D” a force to be reckoned with.
If you carefully listen to the play by play you note that R Johansen is being credited with some high class passing and playmaking. Ryan has 5 goals and 5 assists, but the playmaking creates havoc in the opposition. I also note, thatthe coaching staff is starting to rotate players a little. Example Will Weber was recalled from Evansville and has played 2 games of the 3 he could have played. Jake Hansen played Sat. against Norfolk.
