The Falcons had a great weekend, the remainder of the prospects, not so much. As most know by now, the Falcons won both their games. In the 2nd game, Ryan Johansen, who had the GWG in the 1st period [although no one thought that at the time] made the statement of the weekend for us Blue Jacket fans who well remember last year’s BJ start, and RJ’s initial season in the NHL. His thought, “it’s only wins for the first 2 games, we have a long season to go, but 2 losses kinda ruins the season at this point”.

MILESTONE IN REACH
The Falcons are off to their second 2-0 start in team history and can set a team record for consecutive victories to start a season this Friday against the Penguins. Springfield’s record for consecutive games with at least one point to start a season is four, accomplished three times, most recently in 2005-2006. The Falcons are one of 10 AHL teams to have made it through the opening weekend unblemished.Springfield Falcons 2012-13 Individual Stats
