Lockout Day 22- Down on the Farm

by Blue Jackets

Fri 10-5

Well Scott Howson Haters, do you remember a little signing last summer, a minor league player with the Plymouth Whale was stolen out from under the Rangers nose when he signed a 3 year entry level contract with the Blue Jackets. He happened to be a major pain in the a_ _ for the Springfield Falcons named Jonathan Audy-Marchessault. He was actually a Rangers top prospect and at the time I said “good job Scott” Well he scored a hat trick in the Falcons 2nd preseason game a 4-3 win. Friday nite. True it was pre-season but he and Ryan Johansen, remember him, [who was fed by Jonathan Audy-Marchessault, Jam as he is called] provided the scoring punch for the win. The only knock on the kid is that he is only 5’9″. The Blue Jackets seem to be loaded with miti-mites. Matt Calvert better bring his game.

Oashwa won Fri nite, 6-4, Boone Jenner had 3 assists, giving him a +15 rating.

The Erie Otters also won in their home opener Friday nite, 4-1. Oscar Dansk stopped 34 of 35 shots.
