I certainly don’t understand it, but EVERYONE except the principal parties seem to understand that the lock out is a loose-loose situation for both sides. See NHL lockout: League, union can’t afford to pass the point of diminishing returns. This blog is well thought out from a logical standpoint and would seem to make sense. I have to believe there is an emotion and pride factor that is not a part of the presentations that is affecting the actual movement for a common ground understanding.
Nevertheless we continue to move down the lockout path with the pre-season games being cancelled and some players heading for other hockey venues. There are still no formal contracts scheduled, and nothing is on the cyberspace media relative to informal talks.
