Play At Your Own Risk: Beware Of Sharks And Lightning

I’m going to poach a term from my compatriot, Joe and talk a bit about Cupdates

So, it would seem I’m not the kiss of death after all, as the Sharks mauled er, beat Detroit.  I like my pal Monica here at Fansided.  She’s over at Octopus Thrower.  But, words cannot express how happy I am that the Sharks beat the Red Wings.   Pretty sure my friends over at Blades of Teal are feeling good as well.

I’ve been on a holiday for the last few days (meaning, I’m relaxing and being lazy around the pool, but also unable to watch my beloved hockey because the whole family would throw furniture…and probably at me.  Can you be adopted at my age? Is there a nice, hockey crazed Canadian family who would love me, make me pancakes and give me unlimited access to NHL on the Fly?)

So…thank God for the internet and all of my Twitter folk.  Of course when I mention I haven’t caught a game for better than a week, the snickering starts and everyone sends a “Direct Message” asking if my husband is watching The Waltons.  There was a little incident during the last CBJ game…it almost led to me picking up a fork and causing some bodily harm.  My spouse has happily crossed over to baseball season and is in a full-blown love affair with The Reds.  He just doesn’t understand Puck Love like us.

So now we’re down to four.  And I’ll be home (although, wrestling over the remote) and able to cheer on San Jose.  I’m really happy I’m not a Black Widow.  But, I suppose it ain’t over until it’s over.

My picks from here on out?  Tampa Bay and The Sharks.
